Fit for Life
Fit for Life clinics are run by our qualified nurses and have proved to be extremely popular. Many pet’s have benefited from the service provided by this clinic. Its purpose is to perform routine health checks, midway between annual booster vaccinations, for all our older patients. Remember, a year is a long time in a dog's or cat's life – more like six years in a human life.
An appointment will be booked for you and your pet, at a time that is mutually convenient.
A 45 minute appointment is booked allowing time for a clinical examination and discussion.
The clinic is available to all dogs and cats above 8 years of age.
At the appointment your pet will receive a “top to toe” examination. The nurse will go through this examination with you and discuss any findings.
We will also request that you bring a sample of your pet's urine in with you. This will allow us to check your pets kidney function, glucose levels etc.
If the urine results are, in any way, suggestive of an underlying problem then we may recommend that a blood sample is then taken. This will allow us to look at your pet's body systems in more detail.

- How to look after the older pet
- Dental disease
- Arthritis
- Kidney disease
- Lumps and bumps
