80% of dogs over the age of 8 have arthritis - is your dog one of them? Have you ever looked at your dog and thought "he seems to be sleeping a bit more" or "I wonder why he doesn't want to go for a walk?" or (wistfully) "he is showing his age recently?". Well maybe it is not just "old age", it could well be arthritis.
The Veterinary Centre and the Big Dog Bed Company, together with Canine Arthritis Management, are organising a charity dog walk to raise funds for Canine Arthritis Management so that they can continue to do the fantastic work that they do, supporting owners of pets with arthritis.
The walk is on Sunday 22nd September 2019 at Marsh Meadow between 1 - 4pm. Free parking is available in the carpark at the end of Mill Lane and you will see our information marquee set up on Marsh Meadow.
Everybody is welcome to join us on the walk and learn some facts about arthritis as you go around. Sarah Whittaker RVN will be available on the day to answer any questions that you may have and to discuss our new "Mobility Matters" arthritis clinic!
The suggested minimum donation is £5 and on joining the walk you will receive an arthritis awareness goody bag (whilst stocks last) and entry to our fanatastic free prize raffle.
We are planning two walks - one around Marsh Meadow and one over the lock to the end of the field and back. You and your dog can do as little or as much as you like.
If you would like to pre book your entry ticket (including raffle) please contact Sarah at the surgery 01491 574490 or Dru at The Big Dog Bed Company 01491 818460.
